Time of Birth

What if I don’t know the time of birth?

It is not always common to know our time of birth. Often it is not included on birth certificates and our parents may not have taken notice of this detail at the time. If this is the case, there are a few avenues to try.

Contact your hospital

If possible, contact the hospital where you were born. They should have records of these details on file. It can sometimes incur a small administration fee (this depends on the hospital).

Speak to family members

Family members can sometimes hold more information than first assumed. Perhaps an aunty was in the waiting room and took note of the time. In one case, for example, a mother remembered that she had her son just as the doctors shift was ending. This meant that she knew her son was born at around to 4:30 PM. It can pay off to ask around!

Still no birth time

If these avenues are not fruitful or available, it is possible to draw up the natal astrological chart based on just the date and location of birth. This will still give us a significant amount of information, it will just mean some aspects of the chart will not be known to us.
